BEFuture – Biomedicine | Environment | Food for Future Innovations is an international programme designed to bring together PhD students, internationally recognised scientists, and academic staff to foster collaboration and hands-on knowledge exchange at Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (UPWr).
Hybrid format
• Week 1: online webinars delivered by internationally recognised researchers from leading research centres worldwid
• Week 2: on-site laboratory workshops at UPWr
Two editions in 2026
• February 16–27, 2026
• May 2026 (soon established)
Three thematic tracks
• VetBioFrontiers – veterinary biomedicine
• EnviFuture – environmental engineering innovations (coordinated by Katarzyna Pawęska)
• FoodPack Forward – food technologies of the future (coordinated by Małgorzata Korzeniowska)

Each edition welcomes 30 international PhD students (60 in total), supported by a ~1,100 EUR scholarship covering travel and accommodation in Wrocław.
Webinar sessions are open and may also be attended by PhD students from the UPWr Doctoral School (New Trends in Discipline) and academic staff.
