2nd PHOTOREFINERIES Conference
2nd PHOTOREFINERIES has come to an end - but the ideas, connections and collaborations created in Novi Sad are only the beginning.
The Faculty of Technology Novi Sad, University of Novi Sad, was proud to host the 2nd International Conference on Novel Photorefineries for Resource Recovery - 2nd PHOTOREFINERIES, bringing together 165 researchers, experts, and young scientists from more than 25 countries worldwide.
We had the privilege of welcoming participants from across Europe, as well as from Australia, Japan, China, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia.
For several days, Novi Sad became the place where excellent science met new ideas, open discussion and genuine human connection.
We listened to outstanding speakers, discovered exciting research, discussed the challenges of translating science into real-world applications, and witnessed new professional connections and friendships emerge.
But 2nd PHOTOREFINERIES was about more than presentations and scientific sessions. It was about people.
Young researchers presenting their ideas, experienced scientists sharing their knowledge, industry representatives bringing new perspectives, and countless conversations between sessions that may become the starting point for future projects and collaborations.
Our sincere thanks go to all participants, speakers, session chairs, partners, sponsors, students, volunteers, and members of the Organizing and Scientific Committees who contributed their time, knowledge and enthusiasm to making the 2nd PHOTOREFINERIES possible.
Seeing our university campus filled with people exchanging ideas and discussing science was perhaps the best confirmation of why meetings like this matter.
The conference may be over, but its impact continues through the ideas, collaborations and friendships that go far beyond Novi Sad.
