Conference Summary

The 2nd International Conference on Advanced Production and Processing – ICAPP 2022, gathered 252 participants from 26 countries: Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Greece, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Portugal, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Finland, Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, USA, Korea, Kazakhstan and Brasil.
The opening plenary lectures were given by Prof. João G. Crespo, Professor of Chemical Engineering at the School of Science and Technology – NOVA University of Lisbon, Portugal, Marinella Farré, Principal Research Fellow at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA) belonging to the Spanish National Research Council and Prof. Costas Nikiforidis, an associate professor of Biobased Soft Matter at the Biobased Chemistry and Technology Group of Wageningen University, The Netherlands.

The Conference was organized in 5 sections:
1. INNOVATIVE FOOD SCIENCE AND BIOPROCESSES
2. NUTRACEUTICALS AND PHARMACEUTICALS
3. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, CHEMICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING
4. MATERIALS DESIGN AND APPLICATIONS
5. PETROLEUM REFINING AND PRODUCTION

  • INNOVATIVE FOOD SCIENCE AND BIOPROCESSES had 3 Invited lectures, 10 Oral presentations and presented 89 posters.
  • NUTRACEUTICALS AND PHARMACEUTICALS had 6 Invited lectures, 6 Oral presentations and presented 37 posters.
  • SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, CHEMICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING had 3 Invited lectures, 7 Oral presentations and 35 posters.
  • MATERIALS DESIGN AND APPLICATIONS had 4 Invited lectures, 7 Oral presentations and 20 posters.
  • PETROLEUM REFINING AND PRODUCTION had 2 Invited lectures, 1 Oral presentation and presented 10 posters.

The Best Poster Award went to:

  • Maria Dimopoulo for the session INNOVATIVE FOOD SCIENCE AND BIOPROCESSES;
  • Maja Urošević for the session NUTRACEUTICALS AND PHARMACEUTICALS;
  • Sandra Stamenković Stojanović for the session SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, CHEMICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING;
  • Jelena Jovanović for the session MATERIALS DESIGN AND APPLICATIONS;
  • Denis Sarvari for the session PETROLEUM REFINING AND PRODUCTION.

The Best Young Scientist Oral Presentation Award went to:

  • Alexandros Stratakos for the session INNOVATIVE FOOD SCIENCE AND BIOPROCESSES;
  • Ana Stjepanović for the session NUTRACEUTICALS AND PHARMACEUTICALS;
  • Fernanda Pantoja for the session SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, CHEMICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING;
  • Hadid Sukmana for the session SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, CHEMICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING;
  • Zorka Vasiljević for the session MATERIALS DESIGN AND APPLICATIONS;
